How to get cities (lat/long) from external list?

amMap does not provide such feature or facilities. However you can use some third-party geolocation service to do that.

I personally have been using geonames.org for years. They have geolocation services for everything.

The easiest way would be to employ some serverside coding language, like PHP. It should be fairly easy to build a script that converts your list into an amMap-compatible XML.
